San Marcos' Wild Boar

Known in Galicia as Xabarín, the boar is one of the most popular charges in Galician, Irish and Scottish heraldry, symbolising courage and fierceness.

The boar is also the main character in the most watched children's TV show in Galicia, Xabarín Club, which is broadcast from Televisión de Galicia's studios in San Marcos, near Santiago de Compostela.
