Known in Galicia as Golfiño, the Common Dolphin is Galicia's typical dolphin species. It has a place as a clever and respected animal in Galician folclore. One of the best opportunities to spot dolphins off the Galician coast is on the ferry to the Cies Islands, on the Atlantic Isles National Park.
